Oil Filter

1. Raise and support the vehicle.Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.




Note: Allow the oil to drain completely.

3. Oil Pan Drain Plug(1)»Remove

Note: Allow the oil to drain completely.

4. Oil Filter(3)»Remove and DISCARD

1. Inspect the oil pan drain plug seal and replace if necessary.(2)

Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution.

2. Oil Pan Drain Plug(1)»Install and tighten—Fastener Specifications
3. Lubricate the NEW oil filter gasket with clean engine oil.
4. Oil Filter(3)»Install NEW and tighten—Fastener Specifications
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.

• Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
7. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
