INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL OUTLET TURBINE ELBOW GASKET
(1) Install a new outlet turbine elbow gasket to the converter with turbocharger sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
- Outlet turbine elbow gaskets are located in the grooves all around.
- After assembly, remove any peeling residue on the flange surface.
2. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE CLAMP
3. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

Turbocharger Sub-assembly Link |
(1) Temporary install a new exhaust pipe clamp to the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.
(2) Insert the stud bolt of the exhaust pipe support stay into the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly, align the pin and assemble the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.
(3) Align the paint mark within the area shown in the illustration and provisionally install the exhaust pipe clamp.
(4) Install the nut.
Torque:
43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf}
(5) Tighten the bolt of exhaust pipe clamp.
Torque:
18 N·m {184 kgf·cm, 13 ft·lbf}
4. INSTALL FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET (for Automatic Transaxle)
(a) Install the flexible hose bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
42 N·m {428 kgf·cm, 31 ft·lbf}
5. INSTALL TRANSMISSION BREATHER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)
(a) Engage the clamp to install the transmission breather hose sub-assembly to the flexible hose bracket.
6. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
