Headup Display Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The meter mirror sub-assembly connected by the combination meter assembly via GVIF communication receives information regarding the headup display contents from the combination meter assembly and reflects the contents to the display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
  • When replacing the combination meter assembly, update the ECU security key.

INSPECT NO.1 COMBINATION METER MIRROR PLATE

(a) Disconnect the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate from the meter mirror sub-assembly.

(b) Check that the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate is operating normally.

HINT:

If there is a malfunction such as severe deformation, damage or haze, replace the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate as it may adversely affect the display.
