DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

2. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply protective tape around the radiator grille emblem assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Using a moulding remover, separate the double-sided tape and disengage the 2 pins to remove the radiator grille emblem assembly.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the lower radiator grille sub-assembly.

4. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

(a) Disengage the claw to remove the No. 3 radiator to support seal.

5. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

6. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

7. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

8. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

9. REMOVE NO. 5 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

(a) Disengage the 9 clamps to remove the No. 5 engine room wire.

10. REMOVE INNER RADIATOR GRILLE

(a) Disengage the 2 guides.

(b) Remove the 2 screws and 4 clips.

(d) Disengage the 11 claws and 2 guides to remove the inner radiator grille.

11. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL

12. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

13. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the 4 claws and guide to remove the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

14. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

(a) Disengage the 10 claws and 2 guides to remove the radiator grille.

15. REMOVE LOWER SIDE RADIATOR GRILLE LH

(a) Disengage the 5 claws and guide.

(b) Disengage the hook to remove the lower side radiator grille LH.

16. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERCOOLER AIR GUIDE

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 intercooler air guide.

17. REMOVE NO. 1 INTERCOOLER AIR GUIDE

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

18. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT LH (w/ Engine Under Cover Air Guide Bracket)

(a) Insert a 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.

(b) Tape the 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:

Tape the 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

(c) Lightly press the drill bit against the rivets to drill off the rivet flanges, and remove the 3 rivets.

CAUTION:

Be careful of the drilled rivets, as they may be hot.

NOTICE:

  • Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
  • Prying the rivets with the drill may damage the rivet installation holes or drill bit.

(d) Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled areas.

(e) Remove the air intake duct LH from the No. 2 intercooler air guide.

19. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT RH (w/ Engine Under Cover Air Guide Bracket)

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

20. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 clips.

(b) Disengage the 19 claws and 2 guides to remove the lower radiator grille sub-assembly.

21. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT LH

(a) Remove the 2 clips and cool air intake duct LH.

22. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

23. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT LH

(a) Remove the air intake duct LH.

24. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

25. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the 4 claws and guide to remove the front bumper hole cover LH.

26. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

27. REMOVE NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE

(a) Remove the No. 1 moulding tape.

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

28. REMOVE PIN HOLD CLIP

(a) Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration to remove the pin hold clip.

Remove in this Direction

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

29. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER

(a) Remove the front fender liner retainer as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

30. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

(a) Remove the bolt.

(b) Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.

(c) Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the front bumper side support LH.

31. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

32. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER FRONT BUMPER RETAINER

33. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

34. REMOVE FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE

(a) for LH Side:

(1) Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the front radiator side air guide plate.

(b) for RH Side:

(1) Disengage the clamp to remove the front radiator side air guide plate.

35. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage each clamp.

(b) Remove the 8 bolts and nut.

Remove in this Direction

(c) Disengage the guide as shown in the illustration to remove the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

36. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disengage the clamp.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts and front side member bracket sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

37. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front side member bracket sub-assembly RH as shown in the illustration.

38. REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER

(a) Disengage the 5 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the lower front bumper absorber.

Remove in this Direction

39. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

(a) w/ Engine Under Cover Air Guide Bracket:

Remove in this Direction

(1) Remove the 2 clips.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and No. 2 front bumper reinforcement as shown in the illustration.

40. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BRACKET LH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper bracket LH as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

41. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BRACKET RH
