INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE
NOTICE:
Before installing the floor shift transmission control select cable, check that the shift lever is in N.
(a) for K120:
(1) Turn the transmission control shaft lever clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise 2 notches.
NOTICE:
If the transmission control shaft lever is turned counterclockwise more than necessary, manual valve link lever sub-assembly may separate from the manual valve.

(b) for K121:
(1) Turn the transmission control shaft lever clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise 2 notches.

(c) Pass the floor shift transmission control select cable into the vehicle and install the floor shift transmission control select cable to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.
Torque:
6.0 N·m {61 kgf·cm, 53 in·lbf}
(d) Connect the floor shift transmission control select cable to vehicle body with the nut.
Torque:
6.0 N·m {61 kgf·cm, 53 in·lbf}
(e) Connect the floor shift transmission control select cable to the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket with a new clip.
(f) Connect the floor shift transmission control select cable to the transmission control shaft lever as shown in the illustration.

(g) Slide the adjuster case cover in the direction shown by the arrow.

(h) Using a precision screwdriver, pull out the lock piece of the adjuster case.

(i) Turn the lock nut of the floor shift transmission control select cable counterclockwise. While holding the lock nut, push in the stopper.

(j) Connect the floor shift transmission control select cable to the transmission floor shift assembly.
NOTICE:
-
After installation, check that the outer part of the stopper is as shown in the illustration.
-
Do not forcibly pull the floor shift transmission control select cable into the cabin.

(k) Connect the floor shift transmission control select cable to the transmission floor shift assembly.
NOTICE:
-
Before connecting the floor shift transmission control select cable, check that the shift lever is in N.
-
Securely connect the end of the floor shift transmission control select cable to the transmission floor shift assembly.

|
(l) Push in the lock piece of the adjuster case to lock it.

NOTICE:
-
When pushing in the lock piece of the adjuster case to lock it, remove your hand from the lever shaft.

When pushing in the lock piece of the adjuster case to lock it, do not move the lever shaft or floor shift transmission control select cable forward or backward.
(m) Move the adjuster case cover in the direction shown by the arrow.
NOTICE:
If the adjuster case cover is not moved far enough so that the adjuster case cover engages the lock piece, the floor shift transmission control select cable will not be able to lock, and reliable shift operation will not be possible.

2. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Install the front No. 1 floor heat insulator to the vehicle body with the 3 nuts.
Torque:
5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44 in·lbf}
4. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)
