MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The ECM monitors the changes in the shift state from belt mode to gear mode and the forward and rearward drive output for abnormalities.

If the vehicle is being driven in gear mode when in the belt mode vehicle speed range and there is a difference between the forward and rearward drive command and result, the ECM detects a malfunction, illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
