REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

3. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

Click here

5. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH

Click here

6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

Remove in this Direction

7. REMOVE UPPER FRONT CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 6 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Disengage the clamp to remove the upper front console panel sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 6 clips to remove the parking brake hole cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

9. REMOVE CONSOLE CUP HOLDER BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and 12 clips as shown in the illustration.

Remove in this Direction

(b) Disconnect each connector to remove the console cup holder box sub-assembly.

10. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clamp.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

(c) Disengage the 3 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the console box assembly.

Remove in this Direction

11. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX HOLE COVER

HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the console box hole cover.

12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER ASSEMBLY

HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the instrument panel cup holder assembly.

(a) Remove the 4WD control switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).

(b) Remove the 4 screws and instrument panel cup holder assembly.
