The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during EGR cooler assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:

After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 3 minutes before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal (for Gasoline Model)

When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and the security lock setting has been enabled, multi-display operations will be disabled upon next startup unless the password is entered. Be sure to check the security lock setting before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. (for Audio and Visual System (for Single Knob Type))
HINT:
When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Fully Sealed Type)

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Non-Fully Sealed Type)

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

4. REMOVE BATTERY

5. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
(b) Disconnect the 4 connectors.

(c) Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the engine wire.
(d) Disconnect the 5 connectors.

(e) Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the engine wire.
(f) Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.
|

(g) Disconnect the 4 connectors.
|
|
(h) Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the engine wire.
6. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY
(a) Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness clamp bracket from the EGR cooler assembly.

(c) Type A:
(1) Remove the 2 bolts and 3 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.

(d) Type B:
(1) Remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
(e) Remove the EGR valve gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.
