2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

5. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

(a) Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the flywheel housing side cover. |

6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the starter assembly connector. |
|
|
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the starter assembly cover (cover B) from the starter assembly cover (base) and starter assembly cover (cover A). |

|
(c) Remove the nut to disconnect the engine wire from terminal 30. |
|
|
(d) Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire. |
|
|
(e) Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly. |
|
|
(f) Remove the starter assembly cover (cover A) from the starter assembly cover (base). |
|
|
(g) Remove the nut and starter terminal from the starter assembly. |
|
|
(h) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the starter terminal from the starter assembly cover (base). |
