One of the following conditions is met:

  • The airbag sensor assembly detects an open circuit signal in the driver seat belt sensor circuit for 2 seconds.
  • Driver seat buckle switch malfunction.
  • Airbag sensor assembly malfunction.
  • Harness or connector
  • Driver seat buckle switch (Front seat inner belt assembly LH)
  • Airbag sensor assembly

CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS

Pre-procedure1

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Procedure1

(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag sensor assembly and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

OK:

The connectors are properly connected.

(a) Disconnect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR OPEN IN THE CIRCUIT)

Pre-procedure1

(a) Using a service wire, connect terminals 30 (LBE+) and 24 (GNDL) of connector B.

NOTICE:

Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

CLEAR DTC

(a) Using a service wire, connect terminals 2 (LBE+) and 1 (LBE-) of connector C.

NOTICE:

Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

(b) Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

(e) Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

(f) Turn the ignition switch off.
