PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
(a) Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque:
8.4 N·m {86 kgf·cm, 74 in·lbf}
4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly to the engine assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
5. INSTALL NO. 2 GENERATOR BRACKET
(a) Install the No. 2 generator bracket with the bolt.
Torque:
25 N·m {255 kgf·cm, 18 ft·lbf}
6. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM PUMP BRACKET
(a) Install a new gasket and the No. 1 vacuum pump bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
7. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL THERMOSTAT

9. INSTALL WATER INLET

10. INSTALL WATER INLET HOSE
(a) Install the water inlet hose and slide the 2 clips to secure it.
11. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE
(a) Install the water by-pass hose to the cylinder head sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
12. INSTALL NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE
(a) Install the No. 1 water by-pass pipe with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
13. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
(a) Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the water inlet housing and slide the clip to secure it.
14. INSTALL VENTILATION HOSE

15. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD

16. INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Click here
17. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

18. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE
(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring.
(b) Install the O-ring to the engine oil level dipstick guide.
(c) Install the engine oil level dipstick guide with the bolt.
Torque:
21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
(d) Install the engine oil level dipstick.
19. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

20. INSTALL NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

21. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

22. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

23. INSTALL PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)

(a) Install the purge valve (purge VSV) with the 2 bolts. Torque: 10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf} NOTICE: Make sure that there is no oil on the thread of the bolt (A). |
