When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE
1. SECURE VEHICLE
(a) Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
CAUTION:
-
Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.

If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to N, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.
2. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

4. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

5. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

(a) Loosen the 2 bolts of the park/neutral position switch assembly.

(b) Align the protrusion with the neutral basic line.

(c) Hold the park/neutral position switch assembly in that position and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque:
5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}
