Video/Sound Signal Malfunction

Radio and display receiver assembly is storing history from when an auxiliary battery low voltage (6.75 V or less) was detected

  • Momentarily idle the vehicle or charge the auxiliary battery.
  • When the auxiliary battery voltage returns to normal, drive the vehicle.
  • Check that the battery voltage is within the standard voltage range.

Connect a USB storage device that has playable files.

HINT:

Explain to the customer that there were no playable files on the USB storage device.

iPod Malfunction

Radio and display receiver assembly is storing history from when a malfunctioning iPod was connected to the No.1 stereo jack adapter assembly

  1. Turn the ignition switch from off to ACC.
  2. Check that the cable connecting the iPod is not malfunctioning.
  3. Check the software version of the iPod iOS and check that it is a compatible device.

HINT:

  • Explain to the customer that the iPod itself may be malfunctioning.
  • When the ignition switch is ACC and the iPod is connected to the No.1 stereo jack adapter assembly, a record of the malfunction is stored.
  • If another iPod is to be connected, it is necessary to turn the ignition switch off in order for the device to be detected.
