HINT:
When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

2. REMOVE BATTERY
Click here
3. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

(b) Using SST, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
SST: 09817-33191
NOTICE:
If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

(c) Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
