When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

1. REMOVE BATTERY

4. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH (w/ Cover)

5. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH (w/ Cover)

6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE

7. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)

8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Remove 3 nuts and front No. 1 floor heat insulator from the vehicle body.

9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

10. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE
(a) Move the shift lever to N.
(b) Disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission floor shift assembly.

Disconnect in this Direction
|
(c) Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the floor shift transmission control select cable.
NOTICE:
Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

(d) Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission floor shift assembly.

NOTICE:
-
Do not rotate the nut excessively as the interior spring may come off and the floor shift transmission control select cable will not be reusable.
-
Do not forcibly pull the floor shift transmission control select cable into the cabin.
(e) While disengaging the clip as shown in the illustration, disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission control shaft lever together with the clip.

(f) Remove the clip and disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.
|
|
(g) Remove the nut and disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the vehicle body.
|
|
(h) Remove the 2 nuts and floor shift transmission control select cable from the vehicle body.
