CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
After replacing the rear disc brake pads, the brake pedal may feel soft due to clearance between the rear disc brake pads and rear disc. Depress the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal feels firm.
HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PIN HOLD CLIP
(a) Disengage the hook from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly and remove the rear disc brake pin hold clip from the 2 rear disc brake anti-rattle pins.

3. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI-RATTLE PIN
(a) While pressing the rear disc brake anti-rattle spring, remove the rear disc brake anti-rattle pin (lower side).

(b) Disengage the rear disc brake anti-rattle spring from the rear disc brake pads and remove the rear disc brake anti-rattle pin (upper side).

4. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI-RATTLE SPRING
(a) Remove the rear disc brake anti-rattle spring.

5. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD
NOTICE:
Be sure to inspect the rear disc when replacing the rear disc brake pads with new ones.

(a) Remove the 2 rear disc brake pads from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

6. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM KIT
(a) Remove the 2 rear disc brake anti-squeal shims from each rear disc brake pad.
