INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL TRANSFER AND TRANSAXLE SETTING STUD BOLT (for Type A)
(a) Clean the transfer and transaxle setting stud bolt holes.

(b) Using 2 nuts, install 2 new transfer and transaxle setting stud bolts to the manual transaxle assembly at the positions shown in the illustration. Torque: 39.2 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29 ft·lbf} NOTICE: Install the sealed side of the transfer and transaxle setting stud bolt to the manual transaxle assembly. |

2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

4. INSTALL TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
(a) Using SST and union nut wrench, install the transfer assembly to the transaxle with the 8 nuts.

HINT:

Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

- When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.181 in.)) + SST (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.906 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 255 mm (10.039 in.)): 40.2 N*m (410 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf)

6. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL
HINT:
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
