The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during brake booster with master cylinder assembly removal/installation are shown below.

HINT:
When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

Front Camera System
|
Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 15 km/h (9 mph) or more for 1 second or more.

NOTICE:
-
After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 3 minutes before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
-
When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and the security lock setting has been enabled, multi-display operations will be disabled upon next startup unless the password is entered. Be sure to check the security lock setting before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. (for Audio and Visual System (for 8 Inch Display Type (w/ Single Knob Type) or 10.5 Inch Display Type))
PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH

4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL

6. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
8. SEPARATE ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE
(a) Disconnect the connector (A) from the brake booster.

Disconnect the connector in this direction
|
(b) Disengage the clamp from the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.
(c) Disconnect the connector (B) from the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly as shown in the illustration.
(d) As shown in the illustration, lift the lock lever while pressing the lock and disconnect the connector from the brake booster.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to allow any brake fluid to enter the connector.
9. SEPARATE FRONT NO. 5 BRAKE TUBE
(a) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 5 brake tube from the front flexible hose LH.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

(b) Disconnect the front brake tube grommet from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

(c) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 5 brake tube from the brake actuator assembly.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

(d) Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

|
(e) Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the No. 4 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

|
(f) Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

|
(g) Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

10. SEPARATE BRAKE LINE
(a) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 2 brake lines from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

14. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster with master cylinder assembly.
NOTICE:
-
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
-
Do not carry the brake booster with master cylinder assembly by the parts shown in the illustration.
-
Be careful not to allow any brake fluid to enter the connector.

15. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
(a) Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly.
