Exhaust Flow Control Valve "A" Control Performance Actuator Stuck Closed
|
Both of the following conditions are met for 14.5 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic):
-
The exhaust change valve is instructed to open by the ECM
-
The value of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly (opening angle sensor) is less than the threshold
|
-
Exhaust tailpipe assembly (exhaust change valve)
-
Exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly
|
Does not come on
|
SAE Code: P26FE
|
Perform the following operation to check that the 2-system exhaust system is operating correctly.
-
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
-
Turn the GTS on.
-
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the ExhaustSwitching Valve Position / DataList / Exhaust Switching Valve Position Sensor Voltage.
NOTICE:
Make sure the following conditions are met when performing the Active Test.
-
When the ignition switch is ON, read the Data List when performing the Active Test.
Standard:
GTS Operation
|
Data List (Exhaust Switching Valve Position Sensor Voltage)
|
0% to 100%
|
The value of the Data List item (Exhaust Switching Valve Position Sensor Voltage) constantly changes in accordance with the Active Test.
|
MONITOR DESCRIPTION
If the value of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly (opening angle sensor) is less than the threshold for 14.5 seconds or more even when there is an exhaust change valve open instruction from the ECM, the ECM stores a DTC.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
HINT:
Read Freeze Frame Data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as Freeze Frame Data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, Freeze Frame Data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
1.
|
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (CONTROL THE EXHAUST SWITCHING VALVE POSITION)
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(b) When the ignition switch is ON, read the Data List when performing the Active Test.
