REMOVAL
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.
NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

HINT:
When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Pretensioner)
CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Pretensioner)

CAUTION:
for TMC Made:

Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY

10. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
(a) Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
11. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (w/o Rear Seat Side Airbag)

18. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET LH
(a) Disengage the 3 clips and 4 claws to remove the package tray trim bracket LH.

19. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
20. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear seat shoulder belt hole cover.

21. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
(b) Disengage the 5 guides to remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

22. REMOVE REAR 3 POINT TYPE SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH WITH BRACKET
(a) Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH.

|
(b) w/o Pretensioner:
(2) Disengage the guide to remove the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH with bracket.
(c) w/ Pretensioner:
(1) Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(3) Disengage the guide to remove the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH with bracket.
23. REMOVE REAR 3 POINT TYPE SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH WITH BRACKET
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
24. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER LH
(a) Remove the rear seat belt retractor cover LH.

25. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
26. REMOVE REAR 3 POINT TYPE SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Hold the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH with bracket in a vise between aluminum plates.
NOTICE:
Do not overtighten the vise.
(c) Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
27. REMOVE REAR 3 POINT TYPE SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
