DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition.
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via CAN communication.
These DTCs may be stored if one of the following occurs:
-
Yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) installation abnormality.
-
Yaw rate and acceleration sensor signal malfunction.
DTC No.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION
C051C (Case 1 and 2):
-
When CAN communication of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is valid, and the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal is more than a certain value, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
C051C (Case 4):
-
When CAN communication of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is valid, ABS is not operating, the stop light switch assembly is off, the vehicle speed is a certain value or more, and one of the following conditions are met, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
-
The vehicle speed is less than a certain value and the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal is more than a certain value.
-
The vehicle speed is within a certain range and the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal is more than a certain value.
-
The vehicle speed is exceeding a certain value and the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal is more than a certain value.
C051C (Case 5):
-
When CAN communication of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is valid, ABS/TRAC/VSC is not operating, the vehicle is being driven in the forward direction, and any of the following conditions are met, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
-
The vehicle speed is less than a certain value and the difference between the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal and calculated acceleration rate based on the vehicle speed is greater than a certain value.
-
The vehicle speed is within a certain range and the difference between the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal and calculated acceleration rate based on the vehicle speed is greater than a certain value.
-
The vehicle speed is exceeding a certain value and the difference between the longitudinal acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) signal and calculated acceleration rate based on the vehicle speed is greater than a certain value.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
NOTICE:
When performing the normal judgment procedure, make sure that the driver door is closed and is not opened at any time during the procedure.
HINT:
-
After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
-
When clearing the permanent DTCs, refer to the "CLEAR PERMANENT DTC" procedure.
-
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
-
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
-
Turn the ignition switch off.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and turn the GTS on.
-
Input the DTC: C05201C
-
Drive the vehicle at a speed of 6 km/h (4 mph) or more for 3 seconds or more. [*]
HINT:
[*]: Normal judgment procedure.
The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.
-
Input the DTC: C052028
-
Drive the vehicle a distance of 2 km (1.24 mile) or more.
HINT:
[*]: Normal judgment procedure.
The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.
-
Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB* / Utility / All Readiness.
*: Electric Parking Brake System
-
Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
-
If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
-
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
-
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.
