Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Stuck Low
|
-
When the vehicle is driven from 0 km/h to 12 km/h (0 mph to 7 mph), the wheel speed is 1.8 km/h (1.1 mph) or less for 0.6 seconds or more.
-
When the wheel speed has not exceeded 1.8 km/h (1.1 mph), the vehicle speed reaches 18 km/h (11 mph).
-
When the vehicle speed and wheel speed are both 50.4 km/h (31.3 mph) or more, the pulse signal is not detected for 0.08 seconds or more.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION
C0501 (Case 4):
-
After starting off from a stop, if the value of the front left speed sensor when the vehicle has reached a certain speed is a certain value or less, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
C0501 (Case 5):
-
If the value of the front left speed sensor when the vehicle has reached a certain speed is a certain value or less, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
C0501 (Case 6):
-
When the vehicle is being driven at a certain speed or more and the acceleration rate of the respective wheel is less than a certain value, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
NOTICE:
When performing the normal judgment procedure, make sure that the driver door is closed and is not opened at any time during the procedure.
HINT:
-
After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
-
When clearing the permanent DTCs, refer to the "CLEAR PERMANENT DTC" procedure.
-
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
-
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
-
Turn the ignition switch off.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and turn the GTS on.
-
Wait for 1 second or more. [*]
HINT:
[*]: Normal judgment procedure.
The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.
-
Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB* / Utility / All Readiness.
*: Electric Parking Brake System
-
Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
-
If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
-
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
-
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and perform a road test.
(c) Check that the value of FL Wheel Speed changes in accordance with vehicle speed when accelerating from 0 km/h to 20 km/h (0 mph to 12 mph).
OK:
The value of FL Wheel Speed changes in accordance with vehicle speed.
HINT:
If the result of the road test is within the specified range, it is possible that this DTC was stored due to a particular situation such as brake drag, wheelspin or wheel lockup.
