All Doors LOCK/UNLOCK Functions do not Operate Via Door Key Cylinder

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives driver door or front passenger door* key cylinder lock or unlock switch signals from the front door lock with motor assembly. The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

CHECK DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Proceed to the next step according to the symptom if all the doors cannot be locked/unlocked.

Result

Proceed to

All doors cannot be locked/unlocked by using door key cylinder on driver door.

All doors cannot be locked/unlocked by using door key cylinder on front passenger door. (w/o Wireless Door Lock Control System)

All doors cannot be locked/unlocked by using both driver door and front passenger door key cylinders. (w/o Wireless Door Lock Control System)

READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR KEY SW-LOCK, D DOOR KEY SW-UL)

(a) Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the GTS on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

(a) Remove the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the I84 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
