The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during rear seat airbag assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:
for HV Model:
- After the power switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. (for Audio and Visual System (for HV Model))
for Gasoline Model:
- After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. (for Navigation System and Audio and Visual System (for Gasoline Model))
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The following procedure is for the LH side.

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

11. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
HINT:
Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that allows the removal of the rear seat side garnish.
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH

13. REMOVE REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
When storing the rear seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

Deployment Side |
(a) Check that the ignition switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) is off.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts.

(d) Disengage the clip and separate the rear seat airbag assembly.
NOTICE:
When separating the rear seat airbag assembly, do not pull the airbag wire harness.
(e) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, release the airbag connector locking button.
(f) Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the rear seat airbag assembly.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
