DESCRIPTIONUse the following procedure if no DTCs are output but the EPS warning light is illuminated continuously. The power steering ECU with motor assembly controls the warning light in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. CAUTION / NOTICE / HINTNOTICE: When the power steering ECU with motor assembly has been replaced, perform Power Steering ECUInitial Setting (torque sensor zero point calibration and assist map writing). PROCEDURE
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. (b) Turn the ignition switch to ON. (c) Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB). (d) Using the Techstream, check for Vehicle Control History. Chassis > EMPS > Utility
HINT: The EPS warning light illuminates if any vehicle control history is stored.
(a) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream. Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test
(b) Check the combination meter assembly. OK: The EPS warning light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

(b) Check the combination meter assembly. OK: The multi-information display in the combination meter assembly turns on according to the operation of the Active Test.
