The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during parking brake cable assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. (for Navigation System and Audio and Visual System (for Gasoline Model))

The following procedure is for the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

Use the same procedure for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly and No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE END STOPPER
(a) Disengage the 2 claws to separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake cable end stopper.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the parking brake cable end stopper and No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake equalizer.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the No. 1 wire adjusting nut.

(b) Pull up the parking brake lever sub-assembly claw.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

|
(c) Remove the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake lever sub-assembly.
4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front and Rear Catalyst)

5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Remove the 3 nuts and front No. 1 floor heat insulator.

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and front No. 2 floor heat insulator.
7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR
(a) Remove the parking brake lever protector from the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

8. REMOVE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and nut, and separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.
(b) Pull out the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the outside of the vehicle body.

(c) Separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
|
|
(d) Disengage the clip and remove the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.
