INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the floor shift shift lever assembly to the vehicle body with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

12 N·m {122 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf}

2. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS

(a) Engage the 4 clamps to connect the wire harness to the floor shift shift lever assembly.

3. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)

(a) Turn the lock nut of the transmission control select cable counterclockwise. While holding the lock nut, push in the stopper.

(b) Connect the transmission control select cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly. NOTICE: After installation, check that the outer part of the stopper is as shown in the illustration. Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin.

(c) Connect the transmission control shift cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly in the same manner as the transmission control select cable.

(d) Connect the transmission control shift cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly.

(e) Connect the transmission control select cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly with the clip.

4. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (except TMC Made)

(a) Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, press in the stopper until it makes 2 "click" sounds.

(b) Install the transmission control cable assembly to the shift lever retainer, check that the position of the spring is the same as A shown in the illustration, and press in the stopper. NOTICE: Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin. HINT: If the stopper cannot be pressed in, slightly rotate the nut clockwise and then press in the stopper.

(c) Connect the transmission control shift cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly.

(d) Connect the transmission control select cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly with the clip.
