NOTICE:

After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. (for Audio and Visual System (for Gasoline Model))

After the engine switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. (for Navigation System)
PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

5. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

(a) Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the flywheel housing side cover.

|
6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the starter assembly connector.
|
|
|
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the starter assembly cover (cover B) from the starter assembly cover (base) and starter assembly cover (cover A).
|
|
|
(c) Remove the nut to disconnect the engine wire from terminal 30.
|
|
|
(d) Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire.

(e) Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly.
|
|
|
(f) Remove the starter assembly cover (cover A) from the starter assembly cover (base).

|
(g) Remove the nut and starter terminal from the starter assembly.
|
|
|
(h) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the starter terminal from the starter assembly cover (base).
