Slip Indicator Light Remains ON

DESCRIPTION
This procedure is for troubleshooting when the slip indicator light remains on but no DTCs are output.
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) controls the slip indicator light in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
The slip indicator light blinks during VSC and/or TRAC operation.
If a malfunction is detected, the slip indicator light comes on to warn the driver.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
After replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and store system information memorization.

PROCEDURE
1.

CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)
|
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB).
(d) Using the Techstream, check for Vehicle Control History.

HINT:
If vehicle control history is stored when the electronically controlled brake system is suspended, the slip indicator light illuminates.

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(d) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream.

OK:
