PROCEDURE

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

(b) Disengage the 2 clamps and 2 guides.

(c) Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

(d) Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body assembly.

3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.

No. 2 Water By-pass Hose

(b) Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.

(c) w/ Stud Bolt:

(1) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.

NOTICE:

If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

(d) w/o Stud Bolt:

(1) Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.

NOTICE:

If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

(a) Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
