NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. (for Audio and Visual System (for HV Model))
NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
PROCEDURE
1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (for HFC-134a(R134a))

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf))

3. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

4. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE
(a) Disconnect the engine wire.

(b) Remove the connector cover assembly.
Click here
(c) Check the terminal voltage.
Click here
(d) Install the connector cover assembly.
Click here
(e) Connect the engine wire.
Click here
5. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

6. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY
Click here
9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET

12. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

13. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
14. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
15. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver, slide the green-colored lock of the connector (A) as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.

CAUTION:
Make sure to wear insulated gloves.
NOTICE:
Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with insulating tape.
(b) Disconnect the connector (B).
(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the bracket.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts and compressor with motor assembly.
