INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel injector assembly.

(a) Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to 4 new O-rings, and install one to each fuel injector assembly.
NOTICE:
Check that there is no damage or foreign matter on the groove of the fuel injector assembly when installing the O-ring to each fuel injector assembly.
(b) Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil where the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly contacts each O-ring.
(c) While turning the fuel injector assembly left and right, install it to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
- Check that the fuel injector assembly installation holes of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly are not damaged and are free of foreign matter.
- Do not damage the fuel injector assembly or O-ring.
- Make sure that the O-ring is not twisted or moved out of place when installing the fuel injector assembly.
- After installing each fuel injector assembly, check that it turns smoothly. If not, replace the O-ring with a new one.
HINT:
Use the same procedure to install the other fuel injector assemblies.
2. INSTALL INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR
(a) Install 4 new injector vibration insulators to the cylinder head sub-assembly.
3. INSTALL NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

(a) Install the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers to the cylinder head sub-assembly. NOTICE: Install the No. 1 delivery pipe spacers in the correct direction. |

4. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly with the 4 fuel injector assemblies with the 2 bolts.
Torque:
21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to drop the fuel injector assemblies when installing the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- Check that the fuel injector assemblies turn smoothly after installing the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
(b) Install the clamp of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque:
21 N·m {214 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf}
5. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect the fuel tube sub-assembly to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

(b) Engage the clamp and connect the fuel tube sub-assembly.
(c) Install a new No. 2 fuel pipe clamp.
6. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE
(a) Install the vacuum sensor bracket to the intake manifold with the engine cover joint.
Torque:
10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}
(b) Engage the 3 wire harness clamps.
(c) Connect the 4 fuel injector assembly connectors.
7. INSTALL E.F.I. VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)

8. INSTALL BATTERY

9. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK

10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a fuel injector assembly.
