REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for M20A-FKS)

3. REMOVE DASH PANEL HEAT INSULATOR (for M20A-FKS)
Click here
4. DISCONNECT CHECK VALVE TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE
(a) Slide the clip and disconnect the check valve to connector tube hose from the brake booster assembly.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

6. LOOSEN LOCK NUT
(a) Loosen the lock nut of the brake master cylinder push rod clevis.

7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

8. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

9. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Apply protective tape to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

(b) Disengage the 5 clamps to remove the No. 2 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.

|
(c) Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 2 brake tube clamp from the vehicle body.
|
|
(d) Disengage the 5 clamps to remove the No. 1 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.
|
|
(e) for Manual Transaxle:
(1) Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube from the clutch master cylinder tube clamp.
|
|
(2) Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the 2 clutch master cylinder tube clamps from the vehicle body.
|
|
(g) Remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut from the brake booster assembly.
(h) Remove the brake booster assembly from the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
Do not apply excessive force to the brake lines.
10. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
(a) Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster assembly.
