PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

2. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.

(b) Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
(c) Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold.

3. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and 2 drive shaft heat insulator sub-assemblies from the manifold stay.

4. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay from the exhaust manifold and cylinder block sub-assembly.

5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD
CAUTION:
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
(a) Remove the 5 nuts and exhaust manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
|
|
(b) Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
6. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold.
