Title: BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM (for HV Model): C1210,C1336; Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor undone; 2020 - 2022 MY Corolla Corolla HV [01/2019 - 09/2022]

DTC

C1210

Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor undone

DTC

C1336

Zero Point Calibration of Deceleration Sensor undone

DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).

The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via CAN communication.

HINT:

If there are malfunctions in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) and the CAN communication system, DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) will be stored.

If a DTC related to the CAN communication line is output, first troubleshoot the CAN communication line.

These DTCs (C1210 and C1336) will also be stored when zero point calibration has not been completed.

DTC No.

SAE Code C1336 is stored: Comes on

  • INF Code 1138: SAE Code C1336
  • ABS DTC

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

SAE Code C1336:

  • The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) monitors the acceleration sensor zero point calibration for successful completion. When the vehicle is being driven, if the acceleration sensor 1 or acceleration sensor 2 zero point range is outside the normal range, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the acceleration sensor zero point calibration is abnormal and illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

C1336 (INF Code 1138):

  • The skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) monitors the acceleration sensor zero point calibration for successful completion. If the acceleration sensor 1 or acceleration sensor 2 zero point range is outside the normal range, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the acceleration zero point calibration is abnormal and illuminates the ABS warning, brake warning / yellow (minor malfunction) and slip indicator lights and stores this DTC.

    HINT:

As the detection conditions slightly differ from SAE code C1336, the detection conditions for DTC C1336 (INF code 1138) is also provided.
