DTC

C052C11

ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Short to Ground

DTC

C052C13

ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Open

DTC

C142719

ABS Pump Motor Circuit Current Above Threshold

DESCRIPTION

The ABS motor relay is built into the brake actuator assembly.

When the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) operates ABS, TRAC, VSC, brake hold or brake assist, the ABS motor relay turns ON and drives the motor pump built into the brake actuator assembly.

DTC No.

Trouble Area

C052C11

ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Short to Ground

When the voltage at terminal +BM is between 9.6 and 16.4 V, a short to ground in the ABS motor drive circuit is detected during the self test.

Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

C052C13

ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Open

An open in the ABS motor drive circuit is detected during the self test.

Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

C142719

ABS Pump Motor Circuit Current Above Threshold

  • When the ABS motor relay is operating, an overload in the ABS motor relay is detected for 0.06 seconds or more.
  • When the ABS motor relay is operating, a short in the pump motor drive circuit is detected for 0.06 seconds or more.

HINT:

DTC will be output when conditions for either of the patterns in the table above are met.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • After replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and store system information memorization.

  • The system may store DTC C052F14 due to a drop in battery voltage. If a DTC regarding low system supply power voltage is output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for that DTC first.
  • If the vehicle has stored DTC C052F14 due a drop in battery voltage, it can be cleared by driving the vehicle at a speed of 15 km/h (9 mph) or more for 0.48 seconds or more and then clearing the DTCs using the GTS.

PROCEDURE

1.

REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).
