DTC
|
P158649
|
Acceleration Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Internal Electronic Failure
|
DESCRIPTION
The yaw rate and acceleration sensor is built into the airbag sensor assembly. The airbag sensor assembly sends yaw rate and acceleration sensor signals to the TCM via CAN communication. These signals are used for the neutral control. If a yaw rate and acceleration sensor circuit malfunction signal, yaw rate and acceleration sensor stuck signal or abnormal sensor output signal is received from the skid control ECU, a DTC will be stored.
DTC No.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
CAUTION:
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
HINT:
After repairs have been completed, clear the DTCs and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
-
Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
-
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
-
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
-
Turn the engine switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
-
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
-
Start the engine.
-
Drive the vehicle while accelerating and decelerating repeatedly for several minutes.
-
Stop the vehicle.
-
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Utility / All Readiness.
-
Input the DTC: P158549 or P158649.
-
Check the DTC judgment result.

HINT:
-
If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
-
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
-
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform the Confirmation Driving Pattern and check the DTC judgment result again.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
HINT:
Read freeze frame data using the Techstream. The TCM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
1.
|
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P158549 OR P158649)
|
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Trouble Codes.
Powertrain > Transmission > Trouble Codes
(e) Read the DTCs using the Techstream.
HINT:
-
If any CAN communication system DTCs are output, perform troubleshooting for the CAN communication system first.
-
If any DTCs other than P158549 or P158649 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
