INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FLOW SHUTTING VALVE (WATER VALVE)

(a) Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the flow shutting valve (water valve) and slide the clip to secure it.

*a	2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.)	*b	Paint Mark
*c	45° (Tabs of Clip Installation Area)	*d	protrusion

NOTICE:

Make sure to align the paint mark of the No. 4 water by-pass hose with the protrusion of the flow shutting valve (water valve).
Make sure to slide the No. 4 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the flow shutting valve (water valve).
Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.

(b) Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the flow shutting valve (water valve) and slide the clip to secure it.

*c	60° (Tabs of Clip Installation Area)	*d	protrusion

NOTICE:

Make sure to align the paint mark of the No. 3 water by-pass hose with the protrusion of the flow shutting valve (water valve).
Make sure to slide the No. 3 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the flow shutting valve (water valve).
Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.

Torque:

19 N·m {194 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf}

(d) Connect the flow shutting valve (water valve) connector.

2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
