Radio and display receiver assembly is storing history from when a malfunctioning iPod was connected to the stereo jack adapter assembly

  1. Turn the ignition switch from off to ACC.
  2. Check that the cable connecting the iPod is not malfunctioning.
  3. Check the software version of the iPod iOS and check that it is a compatible device.

HINT:

  • Explain to the customer that the iPod itself may be malfunctioning.
  • When the ignition switch is ACC and the iPod is connected to the stereo jack adapter assembly, a record of the malfunction is stored.
  • If another iPod is to be connected, it is necessary to turn the ignition switch off in order for the device to be detected.
