DTC SUMMARY
MALFUNCTION DESCRIPTION
The motor generator control ECU (MG ECU), which is built into the inverter with converter assembly, and the airbag sensor assembly detect that a collision has occurred and the motor generator control ECU (MG ECU) built into the inverter with converter assembly outputs a DTC. A collision information signal is also sent to the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, which then shuts off the main relay.
The cause of this DTC may be one of the following:
-
Collision is detected
-
Detection sensor system malfunction
-
Airbag system malfunction
-
Inverter with converter assembly malfunction
-
Communication malfunction between airbag sensor assembly and inverter with converter assembly
DESCRIPTION
When a collision occurs, the motor generator control ECU (MG ECU) built into the inverter with converter assembly receives a collision signal from the airbag sensor assembly and outputs a DTC. A collision signal is also sent to the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly. After detecting a collision, the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly shuts off the high voltage system for safety.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
HINT:
After repair has been completed, clear the DTCs and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
-
Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
-
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
-
Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
-
With ignition switch ON and wait for 5 seconds or more.
-
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Motor Generator / Utility / All Readiness.
-
Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
-
If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
-
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
-
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.
