INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Headlight ECU)

(a) Inspect the headlight assembly LH.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination and motor operation condition.

OK

Auxiliary Battery Connection

Specified Condition
If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (LO)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 2 (E)

Headlight illuminates

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 4 (HI)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 5 (E)

Shade Motor operates

(2) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

OK

Auxiliary Battery Connection

Specified Condition
If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (B)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 3 (E)

Parking light illuminates

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 2 (B)

Daytime running light illuminates

2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Headlight ECU)

(a) Inspect the headlight assembly RH.
