Front Door Pressure Sensor Threshold Malfunction (LH)

DESCRIPTION
The side collision sensor LH circuit consists of the airbag ECU assembly, side airbag pressure sensor LH and No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly LH.
The side airbag pressure sensor LH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag ECU assembly to determine if the SRS should be deployed.
These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the side airbag pressure sensor LH or airbag ECU assembly.

PROCEDURE
1.

CHECK SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR LH
|
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
|

No. 2 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH
|
|
|
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Interchange the side airbag pressure sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.
(d) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
(e) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(f) Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

(g) Turn the ignition switch off.
(h) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(i) Check for DTCs.

HINT:
Codes other than DTCs B166C, B166F, B167A and B167E may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
(j) Turn the ignition switch off.
(k) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(l) Return the side airbag pressure sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
