DESCRIPTION
The back door lock with courtesy light switch assembly is controlled by the multiplex network door ECU. The multiplex network door ECU is activated according to the switch signals in the back door lock with courtesy light switch assembly.

Inspect fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

If the replacement, removal and installation of the multiplex network door ECU or disconnection of the connectors of the multiplex network door ECU has been performed, initialize the power back door system.

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Registration.

As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*

This check is possible only when the power back door function customization setting using the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly is set to ON (initial setting is ON).

(c) Disconnect the 4H instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
