INSTALLATION
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
CAUTION:
-
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- There is risk of injury.
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
|
(a) Place the front seat assembly LH in the vehicle as shown in the illustration. NOTICE:

(b) Tilt the front seat assembly LH backward.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly LH or interior parts.
(c) Connect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector.

(1) Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

(2) Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the connector or wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly LH.
- When connecting the connector, make sure to push it straight in.
- Do not hold any parts other than the yellow CPA when connecting the connector.
- If the upper portion of the yellow CPA is held when connecting the connector, the partial connection prevention mechanism will not function due to deformation of the yellow CPA. Therefore, hold the sides of the yellow CPA.
(d) for Front Passenger Side, w/ Occupant Classification System:
Connect the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH connector.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the connector or wire harness of the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH.
- When connecting the connector, make sure to push it straight in.
(e) Connect each connector and attach the clamp under the front seat assembly LH.
(f) Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with the 4 "TORX" screws.
(g) Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

(h) Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration. Torque: 37 N·m {377 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf} |
|
(i) Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.
|
(j) Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration. Torque: 37 N·m {377 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf} |

2. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Attach the guide and claw to install the rear outer seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

3. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Attach the guide and claw to install the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

4. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH
(a) Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.
(b) Attach the claw and guide to install the front outer seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

5. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.
6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the front seat headrest assembly to the front seat assembly LH.
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
