CALIBRATION

NOTICE:

  • Initial AWD functions such as acceleration are sometimes affected unless backup memory is cleared.
  • When the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is replaced, Reset Memory must be performed.

RESET MEMORY

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Utility / Reset Memory.

Chassis > Four Wheel Drive > Utility

(f) Operate the Techstream to clear the data.

ENTERING AND CANCELING 4WD CONTROL PREVENTION MODE

CAUTION:

When using a drum tester while in "4WD Control Prevention Mode", secure the vehicle with a lock chain for safety.

HINT:

The operation of the dynamic torque control AWD system can be prohibited by entering "4WD Control Prevention Mode".

(a) Entering "4WD Control Prevention Mode"

NOTICE:

  • "4WD Control Prevention Mode" is canceled when the ignition switch is turned off. Therefore, when continuing the inspection after the ignition switch has been turned off during inspection, it is necessary to re-enter "4WD Control Prevention Mode".
  • Do not drive the vehicle while in "4WD Control Prevention Mode".

(1) Turn the ignition switch off.

(2) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(4) Turn the Techstream on.

(5) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Utility / Reset Memory.

(6) Operate the Techstream to clear the data.

(b) Canceling "4WD Control Prevention Mode"

(1) Turn the ignition switch off, wait for 60 seconds or more, and cancel "4WD Control Prevention Mode".

NOTICE:

Turn the ignition switch off after 60 seconds or more have elapsed since turning the ignition switch to ON. If the ignition switch is turned off within 60 seconds, "4WD Control Prevention Mode" resumes when the ignition switch is turned to ON again.

(2) Check that the "4WD(AWD) TEST MODE" is no longer displayed in the combination meter assembly ("4WD Control Prevention Mode" is canceled).
