PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) for LH Side:

(1) Apply 6.0 V (4 dry cell batteries in series) to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

NOTICE:

Do not apply more than 6.0 V.

OK:

Dry Cell Battery Connection

Specified Condition
If the result is not as specified, replace the license plate light assembly.

Positive (+) → 1 (B)

Negative (-) → 2 (E)

(b) for RH Side:

(1) Apply 6.0 V (4 dry cell batteries in series) to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

NOTICE:

Do not apply more than 6.0 V.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the license plate light assembly.
