DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE REAR LIGHT GASKET
(a) Remove the 3 rear light gaskets.
NOTICE:
Do not reuse the rear light gasket.

2. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT BULB
(a) Detach the wire harness clamp.

(b) Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise until it is aligned with the unlock position mark to disconnect the bulb socket.
(c) Remove the back-up light bulb from the bulb socket.

3. REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH

Protective Tape |
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and disconnect the connector.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Detach the wire harness clamp.
(c) Disconnect the connector to remove the rear light socket and wire LH.
4. REMOVE REAR LIGHT LED LH

(a) Using a T20H "TORX" driver, remove the "TORX" screw. |
|
(b) Turn the rear light LED LH counterclockwise until the matchmark is aligned with the unlock position mark and remove it.

5. REMOVE REAR LIGHT GASKET
|
(a) Remove the rear light gasket. NOTICE: The rear light gasket cannot be reused. |

6. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER
|
(a) Using a T20H "TORX" driver, remove the "TORX" screw. |
|
(b) Detach the guide to remove the No. 2 back door garnish retainer.
