INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Key System)

(a) Check the operation of the back door opener switch assembly.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

3 (UL) - 2 (E)

Back door opener switch pushed (ON)

Below 1 Ω

3 (UL) - 2 (E)

Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF)

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

Component without harness connected

(b) Check the operation of the back door lock switch.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Back door opener switch pushed (ON)

Below 1 Ω

1 (L) - 2 (E)

Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF)

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

2. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Smart Key System)
