    Power switch on (IG)

  • Malfunction Status:

    When the ECU power supply is normal, a malfunction in the electric parking brake actuator RH internal circuit is detected.

  • Detection Time:

    Approximately 1 second

  • Parking brake actuator assembly RH
  • No. 1 parking brake wire assembly
  • Wire harness and connector
  • Parking brake ECU (brake actuator assembly)

PROCEDURE

1.

INSPECT NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY

(a) Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

OK:

The connector is securely connected.

(b) Disconnect the YK1 and Y4 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connectors.

(c) Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

OK:

No deformation or corrosion.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) - PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH)

(a) Make sure the No. 1 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.

(b) Disconnect the A39 parking brake ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

(c) Disconnect the Y4 parking brake actuator assembly RH connector.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
