1.	CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B

(a) Turn the power switch off.

(b) Make sure the No. 1 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.

(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
Y4-2 (RE+) - Y4-1 (RE-)	Electric parking brake not operating	Below 1 V

2.	CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B

(a) Disconnect the YK1 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

YK1-2 - YK1-1	Electric parking brake not operating	Below 1 V

REPLACE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY

3.	CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B

(a) Disconnect the YK1 No. 1 parking brake wire assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the A39 parking brake ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
